JST introduces the new waterproof JWPS connector series. This is a development on JST’s successful JWPF connector and meets the need for a small form factor waterproof connector that will cope with the electrical requirements normally associated with large connector systems. With a pitch size of 4.0mm, this waterproof connector consists of plug, receptacle, and header elements, that allow for wire to wire and wire to board configurations. The JWPS connector has been primarily designed for applications where waterproof protection is required, with a waterproof grade equivalent to 7 ingress protection. This crimp style connector features a PBT (glass filled) seal ring holder, which contains a silicon rubber seal ring. This ring offers effective sealing against liquids and protection from dust, gases and other contaminates. Available in 4 circuits, the JWPS series has a visually distinguishing three colour coding system for the prevention of mis-mating of the plug receptacle.
