JST introduces the new XAG connector series, with a pitch size of 2.5mm. This connector series consists of plug and receptacle, which allow wire-to-wire configurations, and side entry SMT header assemblies, which offer wire to board connections. The plug housing features a side pincer lock mechanism to secure the mating into the receptacle/header. The wire-to-wire system has a panel lock mechanism making it possible to mount on the panel. These robust connectors are available with a secondary retainer to ensure the contacts are fully locked into the housing and prevent accidental release. Molded in a RoHS compliant PA6T Nylon (SMT Headers), the single row, crimp style connector series is available in 5 circuits. The XAG connector was orginally designed for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) devices. An ETC is an on-board device that provides non-stop automatic expressway toll payment processing, which allows you to pass directly through the ETC lane at the tollbooth.
